Graduation Information

MINISTRY ASSESSMENT UPDATE

UPCOMING NUMERACY ASSESSMENT PRACTICE INFORMATION

By completing the Numeracy Assessment once, students will have met the graduation requirement. There is no passing or failing the assessment, it is reported as a measure of “proficiency” scored from 1-4. Students may write the assessment up to 3 times, and this can be done in grade 11 or 12.

Here is the link to the practice exams: https://curriculum.gov.bc.ca/assessment/numeracy-assessment (halfway down the page). The answers are there too. To access the practice exam portal, students can use any 9 digit number – use 1234567879. The pop up after will ask if some random PEN is correct, just say yes. Unfortunately, students can’t save their work in the practice exam and return to it later, so I recommend recording answers on paper as they go.
