|Those who have concerns about your child’s experience in school are encouraged to speak first to the child’s teacher. If the concern is not resolved, the principal should be contacted. The vast majority of concerns are resolved at the school level. If you are dissatisfied with the school’s response, then the next step after meeting with the school principal is to contact the Superintendent of Schools’ office to find out which District official is responsible for the area of concern. If parents are still not satisfied, after meeting District staff, then they may file a formal appeal to the Board of School Trustees. The appeal process is explained in the District Policy Manual, copies of which are available at each school, at the School Board Office and on this website by clicking here.
